Trip to Phoenix

We also went to the Phoenix Zoo. Hate to brag but the weather was amazing and the kids had a lot of fun see all the animals. The Adults had a good time to. We then wen to the Mesa Temple to see the Nativity scene and all the Christmas lights.

Trip to San Diego

Over Christmas break we went to San Diego to take a tour of a boat a Marine friends of ours had lived on while out on deployment. It is so amazing how little space they have while on the boat. We loved the tour and the kids did great during it. We also went to a really cool bead store where we spent a lot of time. Poor men they didn't have as much fun as the women did. We went to the beach and all I can say is Burr! We ended the day at the San Diego Temple we had a full day but enjoyed every minuet of it.

Mery Christmas

For Christmas and New Years Lance's Brother and his family came into town and stayed with our family. They have 4 children ages 10, 6, 2.5 and 1. We have enjoyed having them in our home. Since the weather was so wonderful the kids were out side a lot. So having 7 childrens in one house was not to bad. Here are a few pictures of the kids over Christmas.

Jordan's Milestone

As some of you know Jordan is bottle fed and she hates to be held to eat to new prop her and the bottle up but not any more she can hold the bottle all on her own.

6 Pies!

So for Christmas dinner I am in charge of all the pies. I am so glad since that is one of the many things I love to do. So I made 6. 1 Apple, 1 Cran-apple, 2 pumpkin, 1 cherry and one Lemon Meringue. My mother-in-law came over and watched the kids so that I could focus on the pies. I made all of them in a 24 hours. although I love to make them it is nice to be done.

Gingerbread House

Kaelyn made this gingerbread house at Preschool last week and her and Cohen decided to eat it as a snack. I wish I has taken an after picture but it was gone in a flash.

Cohen decided it was time to mow the lawn and if Daddy wasn't going to do it her was. Not to long after that Lance mowed it. Notice her is wearing shorts, it is December for crying out loud. After 6 years you would think we I would be use to this but I am still befouled at the thought.

Swings

Some friends of mine have great swing sets in their back yards. Here are some pictures I took last week.

You Are a Yellow Crayon

Your world is colored with happy, warm, fun colors.

You have a thoughtful and wise way about you. Some people might even consider you a genius.

Charming and eloquent, you are able to get people to do things your way.

While you seem spontaneous and free wheeling, you are calculating to the extreme.

Your color wheel opposite is purple. You both are charismatic leaders, but purple people act like you have no depth.

Cristmas Pictures

So I have finished our Christmas cards and realized I had run out of pictures to put in them so I took about 30 pictures until I got one that I liked. This is the one that I sent out. I have found I love to take pictures.

Thanksgiving at the Mathios House

We celebrated Thanksgiving with our Friends the Mathois Family. There were 4 adults and 6 kids. Our kids are all the same age so it was fun to get them all together and have a Thanksgiving feast. Not that the kids feasted as much as we thought they would but they did like the pumpkin pie I made.

Our New Friend

One night I was in the kitchen closing all the blind I found this little guy sitting on the windowsill out side. I grabbed the camera as fast as I could and took some pictures. The owl just perched there for a few minutes but every time I took a picture her looked right at me as if her knew what I was doing.

Thanksgiving craft

So it was my week at pre-school. I decided to make a thanksgiving craft. As you can see I painted the kids hands with fabric paint and then had them place their hand on their shirt. I think they turned out well and the process when well to since I had to do this one hand at a time. The others were well behaved while they waited. A few of the kids were disappointed that they couldn't take them home that day since they had to dry flat for 48 hours. They were excited on Friday when they where able to ware them and also take them home.

Thar She Blows!

On Wednesdays I take the kids to a little park not far from the house. A friend of mine was there with her little boy and we were visiting like moms do when Kaelyn came up and I realized that she needed a Kleenex. As I bent down to get one from the diaper bag I hear her blow her nose to my dismay she had blown her nose on her shirt. All I could do I laugh. At least she knows what to do.

I was tagged by Lisa Love to name 6 weird things about myself. I have decided to count down to the #1 weirdest thing about me.

5) I hate to sit still. I always have to be fiddling with something. (You would think I would be a skinny thing but not so much)

4) When my kids are doing a craft I tend to take over because they are either taking to long or not doing it the way I want them too. Just ask Kaelyn I am always taking the crayons (nicely) from he to “help” her.

3) I am very completive no matter what it is I am doing I all ways want to be winning.

2) When I am driving I hate to have any cars in front of me. (Speeding is an issue for me)
And the #1 weird thing about me is… I can suck my nostrils in. You will have to see me do it to understand.

I now Tag...Ansley Harrel, ShaRee Yorgenson, Linda Stark and Cindy Erickson

4 Month Check Up

Jordan turned 4 months last week but her check up was today. She weighs 13lbs 2oz. At 2 months she weighed 12lbs exactly. So she has only gained a little over a pound. I am not concerned I just thought she would gain as fast as Kaelyn and Cohen did. Kaelyn was 16lbs 12oz and Cohen was 15lbs 10oz at 4 months. So now you can see where I am coming from. Oh well we love her just the way she is. Left is Jordan

This year it seemed like all my friends and I were having babies at the some time here are a few of the new additions to our play group that meets every Thursday. I love it because a baby sitter come and we as moms get to have a few hours to ourselves to talk about what is on our minds.

What's Your Name?

The kids and I are walking into Walmart when an old family friend stops us to say hello. She marvels at how much the kids have grown and is so tickled to see Jordan since she hasn't had a chance to see her yet. She then proceeds to ask Kaelyn her name...Kaelyn looks at her and said..."I am Snow White and that is Cinderella" (piointing at Jordan) The friend asked what Cohen's name was and she said..." His Name is Prince". As we walked away from this friend she waved and said bye Snow White bye Sleeping Beauty bye Prince and bye Queen (refuring to me). Kaelyn looked up at me and said mommy Jordan is Cinderella not Sleeping Beauty that lady is silly. I laughed so hard.

SIng-A-Long

Kaelyn my 4 year old loves to sing. Right now it is Hannah Montana and Primary songs she sings all the time. But since I have added music to my blog she will tell me the name of the song as soon as the music starts. She is a great joy to lance and myself.

Kaelyn also had her 4 year check up this past week and to was so excited. She thought it was awesome that she had to pee in a cup and I quote "I get to pee in a cup like you mommy when you go to the Dr." No more Dr. visits with mommy Kaelyn.

Joy School

A few friends and I all have daughters that are all the same age. We decided to do an at home pre-school we meet on Tuesday and Friday. We started last week and each week we trade homes. This week it is at my house so Cohen gets to partisapate.

Our House

Lance is a great photographer, and the sun was hitting out house just right.

So I have found a talent and I would like to share it with you. A few months ago a friend asked me to make a cake for another friends baby shower. I was so excited to do it since I have found I love to decorate cakes. The theme was Pickles and Ice cream. I have made other cute cakes but this one is my favorite.

A Cold Day In Yuma, AZ

Well it is October now so it starts to cools down into the 50's and 60's in the morning's and evening's. As you know all three of our kids were born here in Yuma and they they don't quite know cold. Above are a few pictures that can explain better than I can.

Happy Birthday Kaelyn and Carolyn

As some of you know my Birthday is October 18Th but I wanted to let you know also Kaelyn turned 4 (wow times goes buy so fast) on Oct. 9Th. We had a bracelet party for her. She and I made little bracelets for all her little girl friends to take home. We had cake and ice cream and she opened her gifts. It was short and simple but a lot of fun. We had about 10 little girls at our House...I was so relieved that we didn't have any cat fights and we all had fun. I promised myself that we were going to do a family party next year.
On my birthday we got a baby sitter and went to see the movie An American Carol. We loved the first 30 minutes of it since that is all we got to watch of it. The movie stopped after that and we waited 30 minutes for them to fix it. They had some trouble so they gave us all free vouchers and sent us home. Lance and I then went to see some Friends that just had a baby. We were on our way home when we passed by the local grocery store and saw they were having a case lot sale and we decided to stop and shop for some food storage. After our date I fed Jordan and took a nap. Then that evening we took the kids with us to dinner. We went to the River City Grill. It was so yummy and the kids were so well behaved while we were there. We were told how brave we were to take 3 kids to dinner with us. When we got home we had cake and Ice cream (Lance, Kaelyn and Cohen made the cake) and I opened my presents that I picked out and wrapped myself. All in all it was a great day. Thanks Lance, Kaelyn, Cohen and Jordan for a wonderful day. I Love You. Also thanks to everyone who called and wished me a Happy birthday or sent out a birthday card all of you made my day special. XOXOXO!

2 Times In My Life!!

As you know I live in what Lou Dora calls "Purgatory" because it is so hot in Yuma all the time. Well it is finally cooling off and I am loving it. In fact it has been
nice enough that we can play out side and not have to worry about heat exhaustion. I am loving the fact I can keep my windows open all day and the house stay under 80 degrees.
On Monday Lance mowed the back yard. I wasn't home so he had all 3 kids and this made mowing the front yard a bit of a chore. So I decided that since it was cool out at 1 pm that I would surprise him and mowed the front yard. I have only mowed the lawn once and that was back when I was 17 and it was my parents yard. Stop laughing I know i have had a cushy life. I was told by Estyn that I didn't do such a good job so I kind of haven't tried since. So here I am with the Lawn mower on the grass all confident that I can do this because we have a small front yard... I tried 3 timed to start the mower and realized I didn't have the handle held down right so i held it down and still couldn't get it to start. Just then our new neighbor comes home and he greets me with a kind hello and I say hello back... and then I say could you do me a favor and start this for me, I am such a weakling...Just so you know this is the first time I have met the man. He starts it for me and I am off. Thanks to my Abilify I didn't get angry and frustrated. I love modern medicine.

while we were there we also were able to meet up with my brother Estyn and his family along with my sister Mary. this is Kaelyn, Malu and Cohen

Summer Time

As a family we drove up to Utah and spent some time with friends. We took the kids to Discovery Gateway and had a blast. I didn't want to go home because the weather was so nice in Salt Lake and back home I knew it would be well overr 100.
