Trip to Phoenix

We also went to the Phoenix Zoo. Hate to brag but the weather was amazing and the kids had a lot of fun see all the animals. The Adults had a good time to. We then wen to the Mesa Temple to see the Nativity scene and all the Christmas lights.

Trip to San Diego

Over Christmas break we went to San Diego to take a tour of a boat a Marine friends of ours had lived on while out on deployment. It is so amazing how little space they have while on the boat. We loved the tour and the kids did great during it. We also went to a really cool bead store where we spent a lot of time. Poor men they didn't have as much fun as the women did. We went to the beach and all I can say is Burr! We ended the day at the San Diego Temple we had a full day but enjoyed every minuet of it.

Mery Christmas

For Christmas and New Years Lance's Brother and his family came into town and stayed with our family. They have 4 children ages 10, 6, 2.5 and 1. We have enjoyed having them in our home. Since the weather was so wonderful the kids were out side a lot. So having 7 childrens in one house was not to bad. Here are a few pictures of the kids over Christmas.

Jordan's Milestone

As some of you know Jordan is bottle fed and she hates to be held to eat to new prop her and the bottle up but not any more she can hold the bottle all on her own.

6 Pies!

So for Christmas dinner I am in charge of all the pies. I am so glad since that is one of the many things I love to do. So I made 6. 1 Apple, 1 Cran-apple, 2 pumpkin, 1 cherry and one Lemon Meringue. My mother-in-law came over and watched the kids so that I could focus on the pies. I made all of them in a 24 hours. although I love to make them it is nice to be done.

Gingerbread House

Kaelyn made this gingerbread house at Preschool last week and her and Cohen decided to eat it as a snack. I wish I has taken an after picture but it was gone in a flash.

Cohen decided it was time to mow the lawn and if Daddy wasn't going to do it her was. Not to long after that Lance mowed it. Notice her is wearing shorts, it is December for crying out loud. After 6 years you would think we I would be use to this but I am still befouled at the thought.

Swings

Some friends of mine have great swing sets in their back yards. Here are some pictures I took last week.

You Are a Yellow Crayon

Your world is colored with happy, warm, fun colors.

You have a thoughtful and wise way about you. Some people might even consider you a genius.

Charming and eloquent, you are able to get people to do things your way.

While you seem spontaneous and free wheeling, you are calculating to the extreme.

Your color wheel opposite is purple. You both are charismatic leaders, but purple people act like you have no depth.

Cristmas Pictures

So I have finished our Christmas cards and realized I had run out of pictures to put in them so I took about 30 pictures until I got one that I liked. This is the one that I sent out. I have found I love to take pictures.

Thanksgiving at the Mathios House

We celebrated Thanksgiving with our Friends the Mathois Family. There were 4 adults and 6 kids. Our kids are all the same age so it was fun to get them all together and have a Thanksgiving feast. Not that the kids feasted as much as we thought they would but they did like the pumpkin pie I made.

Our New Friend

One night I was in the kitchen closing all the blind I found this little guy sitting on the windowsill out side. I grabbed the camera as fast as I could and took some pictures. The owl just perched there for a few minutes but every time I took a picture her looked right at me as if her knew what I was doing.

Thanksgiving craft

So it was my week at pre-school. I decided to make a thanksgiving craft. As you can see I painted the kids hands with fabric paint and then had them place their hand on their shirt. I think they turned out well and the process when well to since I had to do this one hand at a time. The others were well behaved while they waited. A few of the kids were disappointed that they couldn't take them home that day since they had to dry flat for 48 hours. They were excited on Friday when they where able to ware them and also take them home.
